Mission Statement: To serve the game of soccer in Oregon. To provide outstanding customer service to the players, indoor centers, leagues, tournaments, coaches and referees all wanting to do their best “To Serve the Game”.
Little things that you can do to make my life easier to serve the game and avoid the Doghouse.
1. Regularly check the site for any changes.
2. Open Games Information
When requesting games from the OPEN GAMES SECTION – try to think like an assignor, or at least like this assignor.
A. Before you request any game(s) from the OPEN GAMES SECTION please go to the UN-CONFIRMED section and make sure you have confirmed (or declined) all games.
B. Please do not request games on the same day when you are declining games without checking with me.
C. Double check your schedule to make sure you really are available for the game you are requesting – if you have a 1:00 PM game at Powerlines you really are NOT available to do a 3:00 PM game at Gladstone HS (even THRC might be pushing it, but is at least reasonable).
D. If you request a game in the OPEN GAMES SECTION and I assign you to it, you get an email informing you, please log into the site to confirm ASAP – within 72 hours, but really if you want to make the assignor happy, do it as soon as you get the email, it only takes a minute.
E. On occasion several referees request the same open game, only the referee receiving the assignment receives an email, you can always go back to the OPEN GAMES SECTION and request something else.
3. If you are assigned as the center referee, please check to make sure your AR’s have accepted their assignments, if they have not, please call them.
4. Arrive at your game prior to the scheduled kickoff, look professional and act professional.
5. If the facility, league , or tournament requires a report, you must file it in a timely manner. For GPSD, NUWS and Gresham Coed games (and all USSF adult games), you must file a report on the official form, with ROSTERS of both teams. Please note any cards or injuries within 48 hours of the match. These reports go to OASA. You can mail them, fax them to 503.297.4513 or email them to :office@oregonadultsoccer.com.Your game reports MUST include rosters! Failure to file reports in a timely fashion is the #1 reason that referees get fined and put in the Doghouse.
6 .Have fun doing your games. You are doing your part to "Serve the Game".
